The Whakatāne Society of Arts & Crafts is delighted to invite the community to our Art House Winter Exhibition, running from 18th to 26th July at the Art House, located on the corner of McAlister and Short Streets.

This vibrant exhibition showcases the incredible talent within our society, featuring a wide range of creative disciplines including Painting, Pottery, Fibre Craft, Weaving, Woodcraft and Turning, Embroidery, and Quilting.

Open daily from 10am – 4pm

Throughout the exhibition, some of our groups will be hosting open days, giving visitors a behind-the-scenes look at their creative processes — a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the craft and meet the artists.

There will also be a selection of art and handmade items available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the ongoing work of our society.

The Art House is more than just a venue — it’s a creative hub where local artists come together to learn, share skills, connect, and grow. We are proud to be a welcoming, vibrant community that celebrates local talent, diversity, and creativity.
