Beacon Media Group, publisher of The Beacon and Ōpōtiki News, has today launched an all-new news and information website for its Eastern Bay audience.
The Eastern Bay App is now available as a website at
The website joins the app, which is still available and free to download for Android and Apple devices.
The new website provides most of the features and benefits already available on the app and can now also be viewed using browsers on mobile devices, computers, and tablets.
A number of updates to the app have also been completed, version 6.0.12 is available to download or update now on Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
If users enjoy and value the news articles provided, there is an option at the bottom of each story to make a donation in support of local journalism.
Eventually, it is planned to introduce a modest subscription for the news content provided on the app and website.
But for now, everything is free to access so users can check out what is available.
We will have this option available while we work on completing the membership setup for the app and website.
Users are encouraged to go and check out the new website and update the app and look for new and updated sections including – News, Property listings, Reports, Events, Business Listings, Notices (Jobs, Classifieds, Funeral), Community Services, Clubs … and so much more.
Users now have two great ways to access what we believe is the Eastern Bay’s most comprehensive online source of news and information.
If you would like to advertise with the Eastern Bay App, email [email protected] and we can get you set up.
