Letters: Political desertion

HOW much longer are the long-suffering taxpayers going to tolerate the undignified antics of these politicians and their less than sincere attitude towards the voting public.

It is becoming increasingly obvious many of our political incumbents, regard service to the community as secondary to self interest.

Recent political activity would suggest that the representative parties form a protocol to prevent fiscal grifters to take account of their actions, along with the parties that endorse them to be responsible for their untoward behaviour which allows them to draw a substantial remuneration from those that perform honest toil.

These political parasites have no business in the country’s governance due to their erratic and at times their less than honest attitude toward the no favour no fear representation regarding their constituents or/and their party.

It is becoming quite apparent, as demonstrated by an increasing number of political incumbents, that service to the community is secondary to “what’s in it for me” attitude that appears to prevail all spheres of influence regarding allocated port folios, this does not even address the nepotism that some MPs find quite acceptable, to the point of actively promoting this untoward behaviour.

Hopefully, a change of regime will address these shortcomings and direct those tasked with charting the path ahead to abandon this unethical and in some cases the corrupt practices that appear to have become the norm.
