KG Kayaks has again been accredited with a Silver Sustainable Tourism Business Award from Qualmark – New Zealand tourism’s official quality-assurance organisation.

The award recognises KG Kayaks’ commitment to protecting the natural environment and enhancing connections with its local communities, while also delivering a quality, safe experience for all visitors, local and international.

Business owners Kenny McCracken and Liz McAdam said it was great to be recognised for their extremely low environmental footprint, and passion for the environment.

“Removing plastic from the ocean and beaches is something we do year-round, while also being involved in replanting and pest control around Ōhiwa Harbour.

“Employing locally based guides who value customer service and our beautiful environment is a key part of offering a product that is consistently welcoming, safe and sustainable.”

KG Kayaks offers guided tours around Moutohorā, Ōhiwa Harbour and the coastline between Whakatāne and Ōhope, scoring near perfect feedback from its customers.
