Calling all Swifties – it’s time to shake it off and get ready for TAYLOR: A Tribute to the Eras of Taylor Swift Music, which lands in town as part of its New Zealand national tour.

Hot on the heels of Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, released in October, this unofficial tribute show is bringing the spirit of the record-breaking Eras Tour to Kiwi fans who never got to experience it live.

On December 15, the Little Theatre will transform into a glittering stage of sequins, song, and Swift-style storytelling.

New Zealand fans were left heartbroken in 2023 when Swift confirmed she wouldn’t be bringing her global tour to Aotearoa, but this glittering production promises to fill that void – with live music, dazzling costumes, and all the singalong moments you could wish for.

Brought to New Zealand by Showtime Australia, producer Johnny Van Grinsven says the show is designed to capture the energy and emotion of Taylor’s world-famous concerts.

“We wanted to create a really memorable experience where fans can immerse themselves in the music and the community that surrounds Taylor – and just indulge in a fun, light-hearted night out,” he said.

Leading the show is New Zealand’s Josette, a multi-talented singer-songwriter and devoted Swiftie who bears an uncanny resemblance to Taylor herself.

She’ll take centre stage performing live vocals, guitar and piano alongside an international cast of musicians and dancers.

Expect sparkling recreations of Taylor’s most memorable moments from Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour – complete with all the costume changes and cinematic staging that Swift fans know and love.

The concert will feature over 20 of Taylor’s biggest hits, including Love Story, You Belong with Me, Shake It Off, Blank Space, Cruel Summer, Anti-Hero, and Bad Blood.

Fans are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite “era” outfit, sing along, and make friendship bracelets – it is a full-blown Swiftie celebration.
