On Sunday morning, as part of the regular mass dog walking group at West End beach, two large dogs bounded up our long drive, up our steps, through our (admittedly) open front door, down two hallways into our bedroom.
I was in an adjacent room, and this old girl got a major fright to experience this invasion. Thankfully, they left when told to. We live at the beach and feel privileged to do so.
We enjoy seeing people and dogs playing at the beach, however, it is the responsibility of dog owners to keep their dog(s) under control at all times.
This is harder to do when the dogs are running together in packs.
While I accept most dog owners are responsible, it is harder to keep control when you have so many dogs together.
Perhaps they should find a quieter stretch of beach in the busy summer period.
