I wish to endorse what Owen K Tangitu wrote in his letter to the Beacon recently (Friday, December 12).

We are very lucky in the Eastern Bay to have such a good hospital and such good and caring doctors, nurses and indeed all staff who work there.

Also, to the ambulance people who arrived promptly to my house to get me to hospital.

I recently spent six weeks there after having a stroke. I was in the Acute Care Unit for 14 days and from there to the Medical Ward.

The care and attention I received was exemplary.

Towards the end of my stay, I received rehabilitation care and the team there were second to none.

I wish to again thank everyone on their responses to my needs, and I am sure that has contributed to my journey towards recovery.
