Australia’s premier bluesman Ash Grunwald, below, is returning to New Zealand after sold-out shows in 2025 – with a performance confirmed for Whakatāne.

Tickets are now on sale for a show at the Little Theatre on Saturday, March 21.

Grunwald is one of Australia’s most exciting and dynamic live performers, blending foot-stomping blues, gritty rock, and modern electronic elements into a sound that is uniquely his own.

Whether he’s wielding a slide guitar or laying down hypnotic beats, his performances are a powerful mix of passion and innovation.

He has played alongside such legends as Keith Urban, The Living End and Xavier Rudd.

His critically acclaimed albums, including Mojo and Fish Out of Water, showcase his ability to push the boundaries of traditional blues while staying true to its raw, emotive roots.

Fans can expect a high-energy set filled with deep grooves, blistering guitar riffs and Grunwald’s unmistakable, soul-drenched vocals.

From crowd favourites such as Walking and Breakout, to newer anthems, every song is delivered with the kind of intensity that leaves audiences buzzing long after the final note.

Tickets are available from Humanitx at $50 for adults, $30 for under 18. Children under five can attend free.
