Sunday is International Children’s Day and a few churches in Whakatāne are celebrating with an open-for-all free, fun, community event called Church in the Park.

The event will run from 9.30am to noon at Rex Morpeth Park (by the cricket nets) with gala games, candy floss, face painting, sausage sizzle, lolly scramble, morning tea, music, volleyball and so much more.

Church in the Park has been running for many years and continues to be an incredible family friendly community event where everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a fun morning together.
