The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal hearing for Murupara GP Dr Bernard Conlon will be held at the Aintree One and Two rooms at Arawa Park Hotel in Rotorua.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9am on Monday and is expected to run for up to two weeks.

It follows two complaints made against Dr Conlon during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, which resulted in a four-month suspension.

The hearing was initially set down to take place at Sudima Hotel but has since been moved to Arawa Park Hotel, Dr Conlon said.

Supporters of the Murupara doctor, including patients, are expected to attend proceedings.
