A man wanted on an arrest warrant was found by police hiding in the attic of a residential property yesterday morning.

“The message to people out there in the community is if you think you’ve got a warrant or you know you’ve got a warrant, you need to come in and get it sorted,” said Senior Sergeant Cam MacKinnon.

“It’s in your best interest to come into the station and get it dealt with in a reasonable manner rather than being caught in an attic.”

The offender appeared in court yesterday morning.
