Eastern Bay people looking to add a furry four-legged friend to their family have less than two weeks to take advantage of the SPCA’s Clear the Shelters campaign.
Adoption fees are reduced by 50 percent until May 3.
Nationally, almost 4000 animals are in SPCA care, with more than 1000 ready for immediate adoption.
The SPCA is asking the public to give special focus to its long-stay residents when considering who to adopt.
Every cat and dog adoption includes desexing, microchipping, vaccinations, a full health check and behaviour support.
Adopters also receive three months of free SPCA Pet Insurance, Purina food vouchers and Pet Direct vouchers to help their pet settle in with nutritious food and treats.
During the Clear the Shelters campaign, adoption fees are reduced to:
■ Kittens – $150
■ Puppies – $200
■ Cats – $75
■ Dogs – $75
■ Rabbits – $25
