A high-energy night of entertainment is heading to Whakatāne next week, with the Sydney Hotshots set to bring their latest stage show across the Tasman.

Direct from Australia, the touring production will make a stop at the Whakatāne Hotel’s Boiler Room on Wednesday, April 29, as part of a 32-show New Zealand tour.

Marketed as The Ultimate Girls’ Night Out, the show features a cast of Australian performers delivering a fast-paced mix of dance, music and crowd interaction.

Inspired by the style of productions such as Magic Mike, the Sydney Hotshots have built a reputation over more than two decades for their lively, theatrical performances.

The 2026 tour introduces a brand-new show, drawing crowds across Australia.

Audiences can expect slick choreography, themed costumes and a strong emphasis on audience engagement, all set to a high-energy soundtrack.

With more than 150 shows performed each year, the Sydney Hotshots are seasoned entertainers, regularly appearing in clubs, theatres and regional venues. Their performances have also featured on television programmes including Studio 10, Sunrise, Australia’s Got Talent and Good Morning New Zealand.

Organisers say the show is designed to create a fun, upbeat atmosphere, turning each venue into a celebration for audiences looking for something a little different.

Running for approximately two hours, the performance combines dance routines with interactive moments, making it as much about the experience as the spectacle on stage.
