Ngāti Awa kaumatua Pouroto Ngaropo launches his long-awaited biography at Te Mānuka Tūtahi Marae in Whakatāne tomorrow.

The biography Pouroto Ngaropo Rejuvenating Traditional Māori Leadership, written by Bradford Haami, is a reflection of Ngaropo’s life – full of history, whakapapa, events, leaders he has worked alongside, and the kaumatua who have helped shape him.

The launch begins with a powhiri at noon and continues till 4pm. Books will be available for sale.
