Whakatāne’s newest petrol station is open for business.

NPD opened at The Hub yesterday morning with a steady stream of vehicles trying the self-serve facility during the day.

The fuel station, accessed via the Bunnings driveway, offers diesel, 91 unleaded, 95 premium and its own 100 high-octane fuel.

Yesterday, NPD fuel prices were in line with its sister station, Gull.

The Gull and NPD fuel companies merged in July and sit under a parent company called Astra Energy Group.
