Children take on a mighty red opponent at Blue Light Whakatāne’s Activation Day yesterday.

The free event attracted plenty of families to Whakatāne High School for hours of fun that included fire truck tug-o-war, an inflatable obstacle course, bubble soccer, laser tag, dunk-a-cop and slippery slide.

Tomorrow, Blue Light Edgecumbe has an Activation Day at the Edgecumbe Domain between 10am and 3pm.
