In an interview on Q and A with Jack Tame, Opportunity Party’s leader Qiulae Wong, when asked, described her party as neither left nor right wing, saying her party would be best described as the disruption party.
I thought she reminded me very much of Jacinda Ardern when she answered a yes or no question saying she would want to have a conversation about the question.
Wong stated one of her party’s goals was to have Parliament appoint a future generations commission similar to what the Welsh Government did that cost millions and then failed.
She also wants a citizen’s assembly to set national goals, and she mentioned her party having multiple bottom lines, but did not elaborate on them, except to say she wanted farmers to comply with the original law on methane gas emissions. This, no doubt, will cause all our meat, food and dairy products to rise even more; will affect the pockets of every person and increase the cost of living.
She said gang patches were not important and said she did not support the three strikes law, which shows the Opportunity Party is soft on crime.
Wong said that she is going to make history if she makes it into Parliament by disrupting whoever is in power so she can progress the Opportunities Party agenda of hopes and ambitions for New Zealand.
After hearing this interview, I believe the Opportunities Party are an extreme left-wing communist party with selfish motives and would bankrupt the country.
