BUTLER Joyce Monica Margaret, (formerly Steens), (formerly Mee) — On the last day of Autumn, Sunday 31st May 2026, peacefully at Whakatane Hospital, aged 87 years. Precious and dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Jo and Gee, Greta and Mark, Nic and Saroj, Susie, and Des and Jem. A loving Grandma to all her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to all the team at Whakatane Hospital for their exceptional care of Joyce, in particular Dr Shai. A gathering to remember Joyce will be held in the Hillcrest Cemetery Chapel, Ohope Road, Whakatāne on Wednesday, 3 June at 2pm, followed by a natural burial.
