BENNER John Eric (JB) — On Monday, 18 August 2025, peacefully with family and friends at Whakatane Hospital aged 84. We are saddened with the passing of a loved husband, Dad and Poppa. JB was a dearly loved husband of Gaynor, father of David, Peter and Heather, stepfather of Merrin and Maree, and special Poppa to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known and loved as JB to so many. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity JB had great appreciation for, Rescue Helicopter Services and can be made online or left at the service. A celebration of JB’s life will be held in the Whakatane Baptist Centre, 67 Keepa Road, Coastlands, on Friday, 22 August at 11am, followed by a burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Ohope Road, Whakatane.
